Frequently Asked Questions

01

What is the Children's University and how does it work?

The Children’s University is an international charity that provides all 7to 14 year olds and 5 to 6 year olds with their families, with exciting experiences outside of the normal school curriculum. Children and their families (depending on age) attend different Children’s University registered centres, and take part in the activities available. Participation in the activities allows for hours to be signed off in the ‘Children’s University Passport to Learning.’  Participation is then rewarded at 30, 65 and 100 hours!

The MY Leadership Academy is targeted at 11-17 year olds, but is also open to 17+ year olds. It aims to provide a programme that introduces young people to different roles and helps them to develop as leaders.  Young Leaders complete a number of different flexible courses, both generic and sport specific.

Do all participants have to compete?

No. If an individual is not comfortable with the idea of competing, they will not have to. We understand it can be quite daunting and will support all individuals to reach their goals.
